EGYPT

I think that this video was very interesting and its language with the help of the subtitles, was very easy to understand. I think that it was very useful in order to learn more vocabulary and to practise the listening.
I was very surprised when I saw the video, because I love Egypt, and in the future I'll visit it. I'm very interested in its culture since I was a child and it's a dream for me to see the Pyramids.

Egypt

Firstly, this documentary is one of the best I've ever seen, perhaps because I like history and I've always been fascinated by Egypt and its pyramids. I've never been in Egypt, even though I've always wanted to go. What's more, the pictures were fantastic, I think they must have spent a lot of money to do this documentary. What I enjoyed most was the trip through the Nile and those pictures with the pyramids and the sun behind them.

On the other hand, the documentary showed us only a part of Egypt, because it wasn't realistic enough. For example, we didn't see any pictures of poorness.

In conclusion, in my opinion it's quite educational, what is very important, and everybody can watch it without spending a bad time. Furthermore, if you can watch it in the cinema and you have a wide knowledge of Egyptian history you will never forget it.

Comment to Kennedy's speech

The fall of the wall of Berlin I think, is one of the things which has marked the mankind, and the citizens of Berlin the most. I'm very interested in it, even though I have never studied it at school. All what I know about it I have learned it from my father. The first time I went to Berlin, few years ago, I was horrified. Imagine you, being little and seeing these pictures of people being executed and separated of their families, or seeing Jews being mistreated...

With reference to the speech, despite the fact that I haven't understood all the speech, it's evident that Kennedy is very intelligent and speaks very well. I would be really pleased if we had a president like him in Spain, because nowadays we have no one who knows how to manage Spain and Catalonia.
However, in my opinion the video is quite boring, perhaps because I haven't had the experience of those who were shouting for joy to Kennedy's words in the video.
Finally, I don't agree with Kennedy, in my opinion communism is not the best political system, and less it will be the future. I think communism make the people not being ambitious, and so people don't work as hard as in a non-communist state.

Egypt

Last week, in class, we watched a film called "Egypt". It's a film that talks about this country and its monuments, very known all over the world.

The film starts with espectacular images around Egypt.
Then a girl asks his grandfather about the importance of their culture and their country, and he explain the history and visits the best monuments with the girl: pyramids, pharaohs, the Nile river...
In the film, we can see the Tutankhamen pharaoh, and his tomb, which was one of the most important discoverings in the world.
We could see the Nile river and its importance in all the country, that depends a lot on this river.
In the video, the grandfather explained the construction and the lots of people that participated in this monuments, lots of thousands!

In general, I think that this film is very good and explains with details the history of Egypt and its importance around the world.

Egypt

In my opinion the video of Egypt was a very beautiful video because it talks about the enormous pyramids and the other constructions made by ancient egyptians.

The video of Egypt talks about he pyramids, more exactly about Tutankhamen's and the persons who discovered Tutankhamen's pyramid.

Fall of BERLIN WALL

FALL OF BERLIN WALL 20th ANNIVERSARY
2009 is Berlin’s Celebration Year and November 9 Is The Big Day

“Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall!” American President Ronald Reagan famously demanded in 1987 in front of the Brandenburg Gate. The Soviet leader didn’t exactly rush forward at the controls of a bulldozer, and whether the speech had an effect or was simply an example of surfing on the tides of history, with the collapse of other soviet satellite states and mass demonstrations for reform in East Germany, the Berlin Wall did come down, marked on November 9 of 1989.
The Berlin Wall wouldn’t be officially demolished until the summer of 1990, but an off-hand answer to the question of an Italian journalist by a GDR Public Information Officer that “free passage” through all border crossings would be allowed, sent Berliners to test the barriers that evening.
The wall separating east and west Berlin was first constructed in 1961, went through four generations of reconstruction, but today is almost entirely vanished except for a sometimes recognizable path marked by information stands and a few remaining sections left as an art project. For 2009 in Berlin, a series of special events and exhibitions celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the Fall of the Berlin Wall and the “peaceful revolution” that lead to the reunification of Germany.

Here you can watch and listen to JFK saying the famous words:
Ich bin ein Berliner
